Thursday saw Gwyndaf Evans and Donald Wales taking a SEAT Cordoba SX rally car through its paces on the beach. Gwyndaf gave Donald some tips on controlling a car in high speeds on unstable conditions.
Donald's first duty on Friday was a photo call for the Royal Mail with Owen Wyn Owen. Donald was seen in the 1924 Bluebird Sunbeam and Owen Wyn Owen in Babs.
The photo call was arranged to launch the Royal Mail's Speed Stamps. More info here later.
Owen Wyn Owen was responsible for restoring Babs to her former glory after digging her up from her grave in Pendine Sands where she had been buried for forty two years after the fatal accident in which Parry Thomas was killed in 1927.
It had also been a busy day with the Press... Donald was in demand with reporters and television journalists, and several photo calls had been arranged for Babs, Bluebird Electric and the 1924 Bluebird Sunbeam.
The weather had hampered most of the work on Friday. Constant drizzle and rain made working difficult and unpleasant. Subsequently it probably will delay the proceedings on Saturday.
