The Bluebird Electric and Donald Wales, current holder of the British Land Speed Record for electric cars, which stands at 116.41mph will be on the start line all weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 21 & 22 November.
The Bluebird will be appearing on behalf of Castrol International, one of the projects main sponsors.
Donald Wales, grandson of the famous speed ace Sir Malcolm Campbell, is looking forward to an action-packed weekend. He commented, "Driving the Bluebird Electric is very different to driving a rally car as I recently found out when I received first-class coaching from top Welsh rally driver, Gwyndaf Evans. His expertise in driving at high speed over loose surfaces was invaluable in understanding the kind of problems I may have encountered at Pendine."
The car is currently in the middle of an extensive technical analysis and a winter test programme so that it will be in perfect condition to return to Pendine Sands, in West Wales, next year where the Bluebird Electric Team are hoping to try again and break the current world land speed record of 215.265mph.
