British Sports Museums celebrates UK sports museums. It has links to them and more than 100 overseas sports museums and halls of fame. There are also hundreds of extra sports links.
The aims of the Club are to put enthusiasts in touch with each other and to provide a method of sharing our common interests, be they modelling, history, current attempts or any other aspect of record-breaking.
A five-time record holder, Craig Breedlove and crew will attempt to regain the World Land Speed Record for the United States. The current record is British held at 763 mph. The team will also be returning the record to America after a 17 year absence.
The first ever supersonic World Land Speed Record of 763.035mph was set on 15th October 1997 by Andy Green in ThrustSSC, on the Black Rock Desert, Nevada.
